Tony Pucciarella

Board Director

Tony “Pooch” Pucciarella is a retired U.S. Navy Commander, serving as a Patrol Plane Mission Commander, Operational Test Pilot, VIP Pilot, and Aviation Engineering Duty Officer (AEDO). Before starting his career in the Navy, Tony received an aeronautical and astronautical engineering degree from The Ohio State University. He later received an MBA from Loyola University Maryland’s Executive Program. He is certified as an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and is rated in aircraft ranging from the iconic B-25 to the fastest business jets flying today. Tony is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with extensive experience in managing projects of all sizes and complexities. He is an active multi-rotor and fixed-wing UAS Pilot with extensive experience in small and large UAS operations. Tony served as the Airspace Integration Certification Lead for the Navy's Triton UAS program and led the development of the program’s safety case for Sense and Avoid (SAA).

After his naval career, Tony flew as an International Captain for General Dynamics transporting senior leadership to various destinations around the world. Tony founded AlarisPro in 2015 to address the growing critical needs gap in the UAS Industry.

Don Ferguson

VP Software Development

Don brings over 35 years of programming experience to the AlarisPro development team. He began working with microprocessors and microcontrollers in the early 80’s using machine and assembly language. At that time, evenings and weekends were often divided between writing hexadecimal code and wire wrapping development boards to test new programs. Don also has a rich background in customer service, having served as the customer service director for Eagle Test Systems, Inc., an international automated test equipment company prior to founding his own software company in 2003. As Lead Software Developer, Don leads the development team and is responsible for all software released on the Web, Android and iOS applications. He is also responsible for the application architecture, database and delivery platform.

Paul Summers

Director Business Development

Paul is an experienced business development professional leading private equity-backed companies through intensive periods of growth in market share and profitability. He has over 15 years of experience in leading a diverse portfolio of projects and teams, including Federal Government special operations and organ transplant logistics. His business foundation was molded through the first 25 years of his career owning and operating land development and construction companies in the Mid-Atlantic. Paul co-invented and patented the first complex biologics and organ transplant tracking system, pioneered a first-of-its-kind technology platform for managing decentralized personnel in a post COVID world (provisional patent), teamed with colleagues to lead the first research flights for transplant organs on UAS with transplant hospitals and Organ Procurement Organizations within the United States, and served as project manager in the aviation related Federal Government special operations, including the US assistance for the female students kidnapped by Boko Haram in Nigeria.

Angie Innis

Director Sales & Success

Angie has a dynamic background in managing customer relationships in the areas of sales, support, and Customer Success for various Software as a Service (SaaS) companies such as CareerBuilder, Workterra, and Paycom. Most recently, Angie served as the Director of Sales for Carroll Fuel, primarily focused on product development and growth of a fuel management software for businesses. She is skilled in assisting customers meet their KPIs by leveraging data, combined with a strategic, process-driven approach.

As a Customer Success Manager, Angie is responsible for post-sale engagement, driving product adoption to maximize customer value, and retention and growth of AlarisPro customers. She is excited to form collaborative partnerships with customers while also helping them meet and exceed their business goals. Angie graduated from University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a degree in Advertising.

Dr. Adam Porter

Technical Advisor -Software & Machine Learning

Adam A. Porter earned his B.S. degree summa cum laude in Computer Science from the California State University at Dominguez Hills. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Irvine. Since 1991 Dr. Porter has been a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Studies. He also holds appointments in the University of Maryland’s Institute for Systems Engineering, Applied Laboratory for Intelligence and Security, and Institute for Trustworthy Al in Law & Society. He also serves as the Executive and Scientific Director of the Fraunhofer USA Center MidAtlantic, a UMD-affiliated applied research and technology transfer center specializing in software and systems engineering. Dr. Porter is an award-winning teacher and researcher.

Greg Mand

Go-to-Market Advisor

Greg Mand is an experienced business development leader and the former Chief Revenue Officer for Voom, the Airbus-owned helicopter booking platform. He has over 20years of experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies on behalf of companies with technologies that are years ahead of mainstream adoption. Greg initiated and led strategy, product development, advertising, and partnership efforts for a variety of companies including MightyFly (cargo drones), Meili Ventures (vertiport infrastructure), Lonely Planet (travel), and Ustream (live video). Greg's skill set includes the ability both to strategize and identify new opportunities as well as the “shoe leather on the pavement” experience of sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and closing deals. Greg received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Rohit Gandhi

Chief Financial Officer Advisor

As Chief Financial Officer, Rohit has an affinity for numbers and metrics that serves him well as he leads AlarisPro’s finance team. With over 20 years of experience scaling businesses, he has shared his skills as a CFO and strategic advisor to startup and growth companies for the past eight years. Companies like NS1, Grafana Labs, CEIPAL, Healthination, and Comet.ml have all benefited from his financial expertise. Previously, Rohit worked as Vice President at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on capital raising and M&A transactions; as Engagement Manager at a restructuring management consulting firm called Alix Partners; and as an investment banker at Credit Suisse. Rohit received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mitchell “Mitch” Lock currently serves as CFO for Van’s Aircraft. Van’s is the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of homebuilt kit aircraft, having surpassed 12,000 completed aircraft. Prior to his role as CFO, he held the position of President from 2017 to 2021 where he made significant changes to the company’s business and manufacturing processes which resulted in dramatic improvements and expansion. Mitch began his time with Van’s in 2008 as the east coast rep for Van’s Aircraft where he was responsible for sales support, flight demonstrations, and builder/engineering support. He advanced quickly at Van’s to become an integral member of the company’s engineering group as a beta tester of new aircraft designs and systems.Mitch has a unique perspective on aircraft engineering and aviation safety in that he has personally built, tested, and has flown nine models of the Van’s Aircraft lineup. His prior career spanned thirty-eight years in the electrical industry in the D.C. Metropolitan area. Beginning as an electrician, then engineer finally owning his own contracting firm for twenty-two years before retiring in 2014 to focus on aviation full time.Mitch has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Scott Plank

Board Director

Scott is the founder of Scott Plank Ventures, a propeller of visionary brands in the logistics and supply chain, medical and healthcare, and unmanned aircraft systems industries. Guided by a mission to better communities and improve lives, JSP Ventures has invested over $20 million of personally endowed capital to create lasting, positive change. Scott is co-founder, operating CEO and sole funder of two start-up companies, MissionGo and MediGo, which focus on transforming the world of transplantation logistics and resource management. Scott has been a key investor and early-stage advisor for multiple companies including WeWork, the Everfi online education platform and Levin Eyecare.

In 2012, Scott founded War Horse Cities to pursue his passion for urban community building through real estate development; neighborhood-based hospitality and retail; and community based philanthropic initiatives. War Horse Cities and the not-for-profit real estate development company, WHC Community Development Corp have developed and own a portfolio of real estate and hospitality companies in Baltimore, Virginia, and San Francisco. Prior to founding War Horse Cities, Scott used his business experience and financing skills to support his brother’s startup, Under Armour, investing $12,500 for approximately 15% of the company. In 2000, Scott joined Under Armour full-time and went on to build key pieces of the company. Before retiring from Under Armour in 2012, Scott was leading new business development which included about half of Under Armour employees and over 2 million square feet in the design development of the Under Armour campus, regional headquarters and distribution centers. Scott’s team eventually represented half of the 7,000 global UA teammates $600 million of $1.8 billion in revenue and almost 50% of the company profit.

Scott earned a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Maryland and earned his MBA in Finance in 1999 from the Kogod School of Business at the American University. He was named distinguished graduate from the University of Maryland’s Architecture and Planning school in 2019.
